Two year old girl child strangled to death for jewelry

A two-year-old girl child was strangled to death, and the jewellery she was wearing stolen, in Yalburga taluk in Koppal district on Wednesday.  

The murdered child is Pratibha Shivalingappa Malipatil and she belongs to Yadiapura village.  She was strangled with her own frock strings, police said. The jewellery she was wearing is missing.  

The police have arrested Ambavva and her daughter Varadavva Hiregowdar in connection with the murder. The case is registered at the Kukanur police station.  Investigations are on.
