She bogeyed the third but birdied the eighth and ninth and parred the entire back nine.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The 31-year-old Pernilla Lindberg, who has never won an LPGA event, grabbed the first-round lead with a 7-under par 65 in the first Major of 2018.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Ayako Uehara, the 34-year-old from Japan and the 30-year-old Spaniard Beatriz Recari are behind by one stroke with rounds of 66.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Two strokes off the lead is the 20-year-old Albane Valenzuela from Switzerland. </p>.<p class="bodytext">At four-under par is a star-studded group that includes Lexi Thompson, Cristie Kerr, a two-time major winner, Sung Hyun Park, the last years Rolex Rookie of the Year and Co-player of the Year former, US Women's Open champion In Gee Chun, Chella Choi and Brittany Altomare. </p>
