BMTC

Easy Travel Information Planner

Metrolife rating: 3.5/5

App offers information on routes, and directions to nearby ATMs, petrol bunks, movie halls, and restaurants. In a few months, the BMTC promises real-time information about the location of buses. That means you will know where exactly a bus is at the moment, and help you decide whether to wait for it or hail a cab or auto. The information is provided in English and Kannada. The app tells you about bus stops, fares, estimated time of arrival, as also details about buses arriving at major stations, such as KBS, in an hour. Also provided are platform numbers, a trip planner, timetables of all routes, and a feedback form.

Namma Metro

Metrolife rating: 4/5

The Namma Metro app supports English and Kannada, gives an overview of its two lines and stations along the way. You also see fare details, travel time and distance. Smart card recharge is one of the most useful features. The app also directs you to touristy places near a Metro station. Instant feedback is enabled.

BBMP DiGi7

Metrolife rating: 2/5

DiGi7 is a digital address system for properties and works with GPS coordinates. A seven-digit digital address developed by the BBMP identifies each property with all its details. With just a DiGi7 address and nothing else, you can locate a property in Bengaluru. The owner can post the full postal address and attach a photo. DiGi7 locations can be saved as bookmarks. Users can submit feedback, and in case of corrections, submit them online and follow them up at the revenue office.

BESCOM Mithra

Metrolife rating: 4/5

A one-stop destination that allows you to pay bills, register complaints and track consumption. You can also find out about scheduled and unscheduled power cuts. The app provides information about the location of Bescom offices, and a history of your consumption, billing and payment. A good feature is the GPS tracking of power-restoration teams. Supporting English and Kannada, it allows feedback and encourages consumers to participate in surveys.
