The flower show is being organised jointly by the district administration, Zilla Panchayat, horticulture department and Raja Seat Development Committee. The flower show will be held for three days and was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner K H Ashwathnarayana Gowda. The flowers were brought from other parts of the State and outside the State to attract the tourists. This has added beauty to the Raja Seat.

Fourteen competitions including rangoli, ikebana, bonsai, flower arrangements and a vegetable show have been organised. A fancy dress competition for children below 10 years, dance competitions (solo) for those below 13 years and performances featuring groups will also be held.

The stalls have been opened at Gandhi Maidan to sell flower bearing plants. The musical fountain is another attraction at the Raja Seat from 6 pm onwards. To avoid the erratic power supply affecting musical fountain, all precautionary measures have been taken. The tourists have already began thronging to the district as all the lodges and home stays are full.
