JOIN USThree others including two children were grievously injured. The incident occurred on NH 4 near Madli Cross on Sunday. Police have identified the dead as Ramesh (38), a teacher, his mother Kamalamma (65) and his sister Manjula (35) of Nayakanahatti in Chitradurga.
The grievously injured Lata, wife of Ramesh and children Chakravarthy and Pavan have been admitted to KIMS Hospital in Hubli. The incident occurred when the family after performing pooja at Savadatti Yellamma Temple in Belgaum district were returning to their home town.
Ramesh, who was driving the car at breakneck speed, lost control and collided against the sign board pole on the national highway. The car has been completely damaged. DySP Khota visited the spot and shifted the injured to KIMS Hospital in Hubli. A case has been registered in Tadasa police station.
