<p>The awards are given for three persons every year in recognition of outstanding contribution in the field of child development, protection and welfare. <br /><br />The award comprises a purse of Rs one lakh for each individual and a citation. The committee constituted by the State Government will recommend the names to the Union Government. <br /><br />The prescribed application forms for the year 2010 can be obtained from the Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department in the respective districts. The filled-in applications should be sent on or before May 10.</p>
