Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Wednesday, Kondaiah said rampant mining was going on in the reserve forest of Ramgad. The government is not taking action to stop it because a RSS leader was a party to the mining.

A scientific study of the accounts of the ore the ministers have exported and the extent of mining they have done in the lease areas will expose the reality, he added.
