SSI Minister Venkataramanappa said the grants will be utilised to upgrade technology, besides, manufacturing better quality products. Lidkar, established in 1976, has been incurring losses for the last 10 years. Department officials have been instructed to prepare a detailed project report for its revival, he said and added new marketing outlets will be opened in Mysore, Dharwad, Bangalore and Bagalkot to increase the sales.
