Ombudsmen in all districts soon: Shettar

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday Shettar said that retired judges will be appointed as Ombudsmen, who will have the powers to conduct inquiry and also can take action against errant officials. The process of appointment of Ombudsmen will start within a fortnight, he added.

Further, Shettar informed that the draft of Cadre and Recruitment (C&R) Rules for the employees in the Panchayatraj Department has been completed. The C&R Rules will be implemented soon after the Cabinet approval, he said and added that all impediments with regard to the appointment and transfer of employees in the department will be sorted out with the implementation of C&R Rules.
