<p>Addressing a press meet here on Friday, MASS President Rajaram Bhat said Minster for Cooperative Laxman Savadi will be the chief guest, while South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank Chairman M N Rajendra Kumar will preside over the function. <br /><br />MASS Ltd, is the cooperative society, established in the year 2001, under the Karnataka Co-operative Society Act to tackle the problem of falling prices of arecanut and for the empowerment of the farmer members. <br /><br />Hitherto, the MASS was operating from a rented godown at Padil. <br /><br />The newly constructed 20,000 sq. feet office cum godown will also deal with rubber and pepper besides arecanut.<br /><br />MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Ramanath Rai and former minister Amarnath Shetty will be the other guests on the occasion.<br /><br /></p>
