The Prime Minister called up Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, who was in Mumbai, and asked him to rush to Mangalore to collect on-the-spot information about the tragedy.
Besides, the PM also asked Law Minister Veerappa Moily and External Affairs Minister S M Krishna to visit the spot and oversee rescue operations.
