Minister visits victims' relatives

Muniyappa visited the house of ill-fated passenger Arun Kumar Shetty at Samsadi in Nada near Padukone here and consoled his father Sooliyanna Shetty, mother Girija Shetty and brother Kiran. Muniyappa assured the family members that he will extend all suport to get government benefits. Minister also assured that he will try to give a job for Kiran, who is a student, in Air India.

Muniyappa visited the house of Ibrahim, who lost four of his relatives in the aircrash, at Kirimanjeshwar and consoled the family members. Minister met Imthiyaz - Parvin couple of Gujjadi in Gangolli, who lost their daughter Neha Parvin.

The Minister directed officials to speed up the procedures to avail the interim compensation and insurance amount to the relatives of victims. Muniyappa consoled the family members of Moulana Altaf of Gangolli and told family members that officials are striving to identify the body. His body will be handed over soon, he added. Later, Muniyappa consoled Martin Olivera, husband of Shanti Olivera, another victim.

Former Minister Vasantha V Salian, District Congress Committee President M A Gafoor, Sub Divisional Officer K N Ramesh, Tahsildar Raju Mogaveera, Taluk Panchayat President Jyoti Puthran and others were present.
