No water from past one week here

Nestled inside the forest area bordering Tamil Nadu in the taluk, the village doesn’t have alternate source of drinking water, said Geevika’s taluk co-ordinator Ramachandrappa.
The members of Geevika, Karnataka Bonded and Agriculture Labour Federation, Navachetana Organisation and villagers from Dasaramalle laid siege to gram panchayat office here on Tuesday.

The GP secretary instead of taking steps to provide water to the village is busy with MGNREGS, he alleged.

Cut off from modernity
The villages alleged that none of the officials bothered to provide basic amenities to the village which is totally cut off from the modernity. The officials even failed to provide water on the humanitarian grounds, they added.The villagers have urged the officials concerned to take steps to provide basic amenities to the village.Geevika taluk co-ordinator V Ramachandrappa, Secretary M Anand, Vice-president M Murali, Muniswamy Shetty and others took part in the protest.
