Tom Cruise sign autographs for an hour

The "Top Gun" actor arrived at the National Movie Awards to receive the Screen Icon Award for his lifetime of work in the industry, stayed to sign autographs and take pictures with his fans for an hour after the show started, reports starpulse.com.

In his acceptance speech he said that he love London as he has worked a lot here. "It's a real honour for me to be here tonight. This great city of London. This great country England. I've made several films here. I have been fortunate," he said.

"I guess as a film maker the most important thing to me is you. If I have entertained you at all, I thank you. Thank you for allowing me to do so," he added.
