Child trafficking network busted

The fact came to light during the investigations into an attempted kidnap of a girl child from a government hospital, police said on Wednesday.

The police have so far arrested four people, including a woman, who allegedly kidnapped children for supply and a man named Rajan, who ran a children’s home at Valliyoor. The victims were allegedly sold from this orphanage either as child labourers or to childless couples.

Seven children have been rescued in the last week, police said. The probe is on.
