BU clarifies on CAG report

"The University introduced several exam reforms like use of OMR sheets for tabulations etc. in order to avoid discrepancies. Further, the problem is being addressed from a holistic approach which has reduced the inconsistencies," a statement said.

Introduction of OMR sheets dramatically reduced the time for announcing results to about three weeks instead of several months earlier. Selection of examination and evaluation centres and appointment of custodians were being approached in a holistic manner.

Also, BU commissioned the services of retired Director General and Inspector General of Police R Srikumar as a consultant to identify the areas of concerns in the existing system.
Srikumar is also suggesting IT-enabled solutions for various problems
