In a hard-fought final that went the distance, Syeda bounced back from the loss of a tight first game to put it past Mira Mahadevan 19-21, 21-12, 21-16.
Rohit M, meanwhile, put himself in line for a double crown in the under-10 section. Partnering Rakshith Roy, Rohit won the doubles title with a 19-21, 21-10, 21-9 victory over Shivdeep Jayanth and Yash R Patil. He also entered the singles final.
