'In-principle approval to supply water from Bhadra river to Ajjampura'

Speaking after distributing cheques under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the beneficiaries of Traikere taluk here on Saturday, he said the proposed project is estimated at the cost of Rs 13 crore. The project will be completed in two phases. The water will be supplied to Ajjampura, Hunasaghatta, Hadikere, Kuntinamadu, Nagenahalli, Bttatavarekere, Amrithapura, Piramenahalli, Belenahalli, Vittalapura, Lakshmisagara, Hosalli, Ragibasavanahalli, Narasipura, Athimogge, Kallushettihalli, Karanaghatta, Ittage, and Sokke villages.

A Morarji Desai School has been sanctioned to Tarikere taluk. The school will come up at Dandoor. A sum of Rs 9.75 lakh will be released for the construction of additional classrooms at Udeva and Sokke Government schools. The work on 26 km road from Birur to Samathagi is being repaired.

A sum of Rs 70 lakh has been realsed for the development of 3.5 km road from Malenahalli-Sollapura-Chinnapura, Rs 75 lakh for Bukkambudi-Shivani, Rs 80 lakh for the construction of a bridge near Sompura, Rs 80 lakh for the road from Hunasaghatta-Medihalli-Nerakalere-Bettatavarekere road, Rs 3.5 crore for the asphaltation of Santhaveri-Tarikere road and Rs 2.5 crore for the Lakkavalli Cross to Lakkavalli road. The work will commence soon, he added.
