'Avail services of legal aid authority'

Inaugurating a free legal aid camp in Gurejnahalli of the taluk recently, the judge called upon women, physically-challenged and dalits to take advantage of the services offered by the Authority.

Member Secretary and judge B N Lavanyalatha said adherence to law is the foremost duty of every citizen and suggested people read books published by the Authority. Advocate Munegowda spoke on property rights and Motor Vehicles Act and Rathnamma spoke on registration of births and deaths.

District Bar Association, Pragati Women’s Association, Kannada and Culture Department, Kuvempu Cultural and Sports Association and Legal Services Authority had jointly organised the programme.
