Penalty imposed on three for power theft

A penalty of Rs 28,451 has been imposed on Dodda Anjanappa of Chakarasanahalli in the taluk for stealing power to his house to the tune of 2525 watts. Paramesh, a resident of Cholaghatta has been directed to pay a sum of Rs 1,00,120 as fine for stealing 2,740 watts of power for his house and hotel. Krishnappa, who was carrying on sand filtering by drawing power for a motor illegally in Bandarlahalli of Mulbagal taluk has been directed to pay a penalty of Rs 31,804, according to a press release by Bescom vigilance squad.
