In the year-ago period, the company had a net income of US$1.82 billion, Apple said in a statement.
The company’s net sales rose by 61 per cent from the year-ago period to US$15.7 billion for the third quarter ended June 26, 2010. Looking ahead to fourth fiscal quarter of 2010, Apple expects revenue of about US$18 billion.
