'State heading towards bankruptcy'

Addressing a press conference here, Revanna said the Government had failed to release adequate grants for various departments, as a result development works had come to a standstill. Of the Rs 12,288 crore earmarked for roads, bridges and buildings, only Rs 487 crore had been released so far, he said. He charged that grants had not been released to panchayats to mitigate drinking water shortage.
