Rs 1.26 cr for Ashraya colonies

MLA N Yogish Bhat informed in a press release that the fund, which will be released through the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation, will be utilised to provide infrastructure for houses constructed under Ashraya Scheme. The amount will be released in four phases, he said adding that 40 per cent of the fund has already been credited to Deputy Commissioner’s account.

Rajiv Gandhi Nirmithi Kendra, Surathkal will undertake the development works. The Civil Engineering Department of the NITK Surathkal has been appointed as the third party to monitor the development works, the release added.
