Puneet in a multi-starrer

And even before the release of the film, the word is already out that Puneet is set to act in a multi-starrer project next. The film, yet to be titled, is the remake of the hit Tamil flick Naadodigal.

What’s more, the movie will be produced under his own home production. Confirming the news to Metrolife, Puneet says, “Yes, we are making Naadodigal in Kannada but I wouldn’t want to call it a remake as we are only adapting it into our own story. I really liked the film and I am happy it is being done under our own banner.”

The film revolves around three characters who eat, sleep and party together and yet each one of them have their own individual ambitions.

This will be the first time Puneet will be seen in a multi-starrer. While the original film starred Sasikumar, Bharani and Vijay, sources say that in this version, the other two characters will be played by Srinagara Kitty and Yogesh. And the dialogues are going to be written by Guruprasad. “The casting for the film is yet to be finalised and I wouldn’t want to talk about that till everything is confirmed. It’s not like I am the ‘hero’ or anything. I am just another character in the movie and I am happy with that,” he adds.

Not wanting to reveal anything more, Puneet says he is right now concentrating on Jackie, which is slated for release next month. “Jackie will see me in a totally different role. I play an uneducated guy. Soori, the director, has an amazing vision and an open-minded approach to cinema. It was very easy to discuss things with Soori and he gave us enough space for exchanging ideas,” adds Puneet.
