UK woman molested in Konark

A general manager and a joint director of the Orissa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) have been instructed to conduct an inquiry into the incident and submit a report to the government as early as possible, sources in the state secretariat said.

The Konark police have already arrested Subash Sahu, a 45-year-old waiter of Yatri Nivas, a guesthouse run by the OTDC, for allegedly molesting the young British woman who had checked in alone into the guesthouse on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrest was made on the basis of a complaint filed by the foreign national. The waiter allegedly molested the woman when he had gone to her room to serve food.
