There were rumours that Raghuram will direct the remake of popular Ravichandran film Ramachari. Talking to Metrolife Raghuram says, “I was approached to direct the film and talks are still on. But I don’t think I will be a part of it.” Why? “After giving a film like Cheluveye...’

I don’t think it is right to be a part of remake. I want to bring originality into film industry. But I have nothing against people who want to remake this classic film,” he adds.

Interestingly, Ramachari too was a remake of Tamil film Chinna Thambi which starred Prabhu and Khushboo in the lead. The remake will star director Prem in the lead.

“The film did well and I had enjoyed it. There is still time for me to decide because Prem will only start this project once Jogaiah is complete,” says Raghuram, who is directing a show for AKKA (Association of Kannada Kootas of America).
