A peek into colourful weaves

Vastrabhushana-2010 is organised by Sampoorn, a non-profit art service organisation, which is providing a platform for the weavers of various states. The saris, which will be on display, are all artistic creations of these weavers.

As many as 40 weavers’ families from various states are going to display their saris during the exhibition. Akola and Ajrak printed saris, cotton, silk, phulkari, chikan embroidery, kota, batik, bandini, Bhagalpur, Pune, Ilakal, Kanchipuram, gadwal and patola saris will be on display.

That apart, stone and silver jewellery are the other important attractions of Vastrabhushana-2010. The timing of the exhibition is 10 am to 7.30 pm. For details, call 9845597553.
