<p><br />Beginning its journey from Safdarjung railway station in New Delhi, the royal train will cover Khajuraho and Varanasi for the first time besides taking the passengers on a royal experience of Rajasthan.<br /><br />The passengers will be able to experience contemporary regal luxury onboard. The train will cover all the major tourist destinations of Rajasthan like Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur. A trip to Khajuraho, Varanasi and Agra are also the special attractions on the itinerary. <br /><br />Enthused by the grand success of the Palace on Wheels, the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (RTDC) and Indian Railways had launched this joint venture in January 2009. <br /><br />Unfortunately, the inaugural run did not draw the expected number of passengers but the RTDC hopes the royal extravaganza will be able to attract more tourists this year. <br /><br />The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels will run every Sunday between September and April.<br />This new train can accommodate 82 passengers and offers top class services onboard. The royal train has fascinating super deluxe saloon, 13 deluxe saloons and two restro-lounges. Like the Palace on Wheels, this royal train will also have spa facilities onboard, in addition to a gym. <br /><br />Thirty-three passengers, including 10 Indians, travel on the super luxurious train on its maiden trip this year.</p>
