The Sanjaynagar police had arrested Ravi Kumar, his lover Sanjana and five others for the abduction and murder of Dr Sharath Kumar near Kunigal on April 12. On September 3, Ravi Kumar was shifted to the hospital from the Central Prisons Parappana Agrahara, after he complained of stomach pain.
Ravi Kumar informed the two guarding constables CAR (South Division) on Wednesday that he wanted to visit his relative’s house, who was observing his mother’s death anniversary at her house in Sanjaynagar. He said he wanted to take bath before visiting his relative and went inside. However, he fled from the rear door.
