Guest lecturers take out protest rally in Hassan

They rally started from Hemavathy Circle and culminated at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. They formed a human chain at  N R circle.

They raised slogans demanding job security on par with other government employees and preference for them Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) exams. They urged the government to conduct SLET exams annually to help guest lecuturers to attain eligibility for teaching, relaxation for M Phil passed candidates and regularising their jobs.

They threatened to wear black badges and teach students in colleges till thier demands are fulfiled. Their protest would be intensified throughout the state. On information, MLA H D Revanna visited the spot and promised to discuss thier problems in the Assembly.
Association of Concerned and Informed Citizens of Mysore (ACICM) M Lakshman, Mysore University Guest Lecturers Association Vice-President Narasimhaswamy, Guest Lectures Nagarjun, Ganesh and others were present.
