3-day ban orders in City from Sept 24

The orders will come into effect from 6 am on September 24 and will be in force till 12 midnight on September 26, Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari stated in a press release.

The police took the decision to impose the prohibitory orders following inputs from intelligence wing that miscreants and anti-social elements were planning to disturb law and order situation after the pronouncement of the verdict, added the release.

The orders ban assembly of five or more than five persons at a place, taking out of processions (excluding cremation and wedding rituals), carrying lethal weapons, sticks and such other materials, burning of explosives, carrying equipment to shoot missiles, stones and explosives, raising instigating slogans, making provocative signs, singing objectionable songs and exhibiting effigies of individuals, stated the release.

The police also banned the sale of liquor on September 24 and 25. All liquor shops, bars and restaurants in the City limits will remain closed from 6 am on September 24 to 6 am on September 25, added the
release.
