India Under Lockdown: July 20, 2020

In an alarming record daily spike in Covid-19 cases, over 40,000 fresh cases have taken the total number of positive cases in the country to over 11 lakh. 681 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 27,497. Meanwhile, 11 most Covid-19 affected countries in the world -- the US, Brazil, Russia, Peru, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, the UK, Iran, Pakistan, Spain -- together reported 8 times more cases and 14 times more deaths than India, said the Health Ministry.
