Revanna files papers, declares assets worth Rs 30 crore

MLA H D Revanna filed his nomination papers after offering prayers at Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple, in the town, on Friday. He was taken out in a procession by his supporters to the Taluk Office, accompanied by his wife Bhavani, sons Suraj and Prajwal, JD(S) leader Patel Shivaram and others.

He filed three sets of nomination papers for the Holenarasipur constituency.

According to an affidavit submitted by Revanna, he has declared that his family owns assets worth over Rs 30 crore. His wife Bhavani Revanna is richer than Revanna according to the documents.

While Revanna has assets worth Rs 7.5 crore, Bhavani has Rs 22.8 crore assets and Rs 4.5 crore debt.

Besides, Revanna has lent Rs 2.87 crore as loan to his family members.

Revanna has 340 gm gold and six kg silver items. Bhavani possesses three kg gold jewels, 25 kg silver items and 25 karat diamond jewellery.
