Student project exhibition at SIT from today

Srinivas Institute of Technology will organise a two-day student project exhibition at the College campus in Valacchil on May 3 and 4.

Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, College principal Dr Srinivasa Mayya said that the programme will be inaugurated by BCRE, Bengaluru Shell Retail Account Country Head, Desmond Anthony Quadras, at 10 am. A Shama Rao Foundation chairman CA A Raghavendra Rao will preside.

A total of 35 projects will be exhibited by nine departments of the college. 178 projects will be displayed by the final year students. Among these, six projects are sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, Bengaluru, while 176 mini-projects will be exhibited by pre-final year students. Out of these projects, 103 projects will be from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, 87 from the Department of Computer Science, 53 students from the Department of Electronics and Communication, 21 from the Department of Information Science and Engineering, 24 projects from the Department of Electrical and Electronics, 22 from the Department of Automobile Engineering, 22 from Aeronautical Engineering, 16 from the Department of Marine Engineering and six projects from the Department of Nanotechnology.
