The Election Commission on November 10 declared the winner of Sonbarsha Assembly Constituency (AC No 74) in Saharsa district which went to polls on November 07, 2020. Ratnesh Sada of the Janata Dal (United) won the Sonbarsha seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Tarni Rishideo by a margin of 13466 votes.
In Bihar Assembly Election 2015, JD(U) candidate Ratnesh Sada won Sonbarsha constituency seat with a margin of 36.1% securing 88789 votes against LJSP candidate Sarita Devi.
