Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta on Saturday said the unprecedented victory of the BJP in Delhi reflects the people's faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat.

Speaking during the victory celebrations near the BJP office in Belthangady on Saturday, Brijesh Chowta said, "By demolishing the 'Sheesh Mahal' built on lies, deceit, and corruption, the people of Delhi have not only freed themselves from AAP but have also ushered in a new era of development and trust in the capital."

He further said that the key reason behind the victory is the people's unwavering trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "The people of Delhi have literally swept away the party led by Kejriwal, which had deceived them with false promises of a corruption-free administration. Last week, during my participation in the election campaign in the Harinagar and Kasturba Nagar assembly constituencies, I witnessed a strong wave in favour of the BJP, which has now been confirmed in today's results," he added.

Highlighting the significance of the mandate, he remarked, "From the perspective of national development, the support for BJP in Delhi is remarkable. Strengthening Prime Minister Modi's leadership in the national capital will bring immense benefits in the coming days. The BJP's 'double-engine' government will take Delhi, which has lagged behind in development for 27 years, to new heights."
