A BJP worker has died in Karnataka's Kodagu after being hit and run over by a car while he was campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, news agency ANI reported.
The incident took place in Valnoor village of Kushalanagar taluk and one person has been arrested.
Party leaders and worker are staging a protest outside Kodagu police station demanding strict action.
FIR under section 302 of the IPC (murder) has been registered against three people, Kodagu SP said.
