Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav is the only woman to have been elected unopposed to the LS from Uttar Pradesh. She was elected in a bye poll from Kannauj, a seat vacated by her husband who took over as the UP CM after Samajwadi Party won the 2012 UP assembly elections.
