AAP to hold anti-graft programme

Last Updated 14 December 2018, 19:44 IST

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Chhattisgarh is organising a "Jhaadu Chalo-Brashtachar Baghao" (sweep corruption out) programme in the state, which will include public meetings and road shows in 45 Assembly constituencies.

As per information received, Delhi cabinet minister and Chhattisgarh in-charge Gopal Rai will lead the programme along four routes from Dantewada.

He will address a public meeting at Katiyar Raas, Naya Bazar, Dantewada at 12.00 pm and then hold a road show.

Chhattisgarh coordinator Sanket Thakur said that in the upcoming elections, a massive change will be brought about, as the BJP government, which has been in power for 15 years, has been keeping the aspirations of the people aside, while the Congress has not raised voices in favour of the people.

He said the AAP hopes to fill this gap and form a government in the state. The party's people contact programme hopes to cover 45 Assembly constituencies between October 2 and October 10.
