About 12 domestic outbound flights were delayed by over two to three hours while five others to Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Shimla, Aurangabad and Lucknow were cancelled due to dense fog that started to descend over the airport late Saturday night.

Five international flights coming from Dubai, Singapore and Beijing and same number of departing flights were also delayed by upto three hours.

After being disrupted for about four hours in the morning yesterday, flight operations resumed to normal by the night but fog once again returned late last night reducing the runway visibility to 200 metres, forcing the authorities to implement the low visibility procedures.

Visibility further reduced to around 125 metres, while the general visibility remained below 50 metres, in the morning disrupting the schedules of morning flights, airport official said, adding flights were operating with help of CAT-III B instrument landing system.
The Delhi airport has been experiencing thick fog since Wednesday night, affecting the schedules of around 350 flights, causing inconvenience to air travellers.
