Flummoxed police officials have launched a massive combing operation with the help of sniffer dogs, to ferret out the skull of a woman whose hacked torso was recovered on Sunday night, on the banks of the seashore under the famous Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

In a release issued by the police, they appealed to public to provide any details that may help in the identification of the body that was bundled in a cement bag before being dumped into the sea.

Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Vishwas Nangre Patil said that there is a possibility that the torso may have been dumped somewhere else. The police fished out the body from the seashore, after people complained of a foul smell emanating from a cement gunny bag washed ashore under the bridge.
