<p>Ram Swaroop Sharma, a BJP Lok Sabha member from Himachal Pradesh, was found dead at his official residence Wednesday.</p>.<p>Sharma, 62, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his official residence, with the Delhi Police suspecting it to be a case of suicide.</p>.<p>Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla read out an obituary reference and House adjourned briefly as a mark of respect to Sharma, who was a two-term member from the Mandi parliamentary constituency.</p>.<p>Sharma is the second Lok Sabha member to have died by suicide after <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/dadra-and-nagar-haveli-mp-mohan-delkar-found-dead-in-mumbai-hotel-954025.html" target="_blank">Mohan Delkar</a>, a seven-term Independent MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, who was found dead in a Mumbai hotel on February 22.</p>.<p>Delhi Police PRO Chinmoy Biswal said Sharma's body was found hanging from a ceiling fan. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead.</p>.<p>Police had not found any suicide note at Sharma's residence. An inquiry was underway and the exact cause of his death will be ascertained after a post-mortem examination, the police said.</p>.<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Sharma as a dedicated leader, who was always committed to solving people's problems.</p>.<p>“He worked tirelessly for the betterment of society. Pained by his untimely and unfortunate demise. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour. Om Shanti,” Modi said.</p>.<p>Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur expressed grief over Sharma's untimely demise.</p>
