The Narendra Modi government's controversial decision to grant 'Institute of Eminence' status to the yet-to-be-born Jio Institute of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, saw Twitterati taking a dig at it in the most hilarious manner.
One person spared no time in dedicating an entire Twitter handle to Jio institute. The description of the handle read "Institute of Nonsense. *Parody*." This account became viral in no time. As of now, it has 15,000 followers. The pinned tweet from the profile reads "Data is Free, Not Education." The tweets relate issues like Aaadhar privacy, certificates of Narendra Modi and the controversial ads featuring PM to the recent development.
"We are writing this for fun and to criticize this step. This whole Eminence Status thing is a gimmick when the majority of our institutions lack basic infrastructure," said the handle admin.
