<p class="bodytext">A total of 1,773 licensed gun owners in Mangaluru city police jurisdiction have deposited their firearms with the police ahead of Lok Sabha polls on April 18.</p>.<p class="bodytext">DCP (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya said that there were 2,010 licensed gun owners in the city police commissionerate limits and 237 guns were yet to be deposited.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police said that licenced gun owners were mandated to deposit their guns at the time of elections.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Moodbidri has the highest (537) licensed gun owners in the jurisdiction. Panambur has the lowest (13) licensed gun owners.</p>
