25 pilgrims arrive in City

The last batch of 20 pilgrims from Karnataka, reached Dehradun from Badrinath, Sunday evening.

 A team of five officials from the State will stay back at Dehradun for few more days to search 15 of them reportedly missing after the flash floods ravaged the Himalayan state.
Meanwhile, a group of 25 pilgrims were flown from New Delhi to the Bangalore International Airport at Devanahalli in a Jet Airway flight Sunday evening.

According to the officials, the group comprises 14 women and 11 men, from different parts of the State.

“Four of them are from the City, while the rest will leave for their native districts on Monday morning,” Deputy Inspector General (Internal Security) of Police, Hemanth Nimbalkar said.
