<p>Bengaluru-based girl, Priya Ann Fernandes, has won the first prize at the national piano festival and competition, MusiQuest, that was recently held at the Academy of Music in Pune.<br /><br /></p>.<p>As many as 150 participants and 23 teachers from across the country participated in the fifth edition of the festival. <br /><br />The contest was held in four categories of piano learners - Preliminary (Beginner to Grade 2), Junior (Grades 3 to 5), Intermediate (Grades 6 to 8) and Advanced (Diplomas).<br />Fernandes emerged the topper in the Advanced category. <br /><br />The prize carries a part scholarship at the International Institute of Young Musicians (Kansas, USA).<br /><br />Nipun Malhotra from Delhi and Alique Khambatta from Pune bagged the second and third prizes, respectively.<br /></p>
