500 additional KSRTC buses to clear festival rush

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has made elaborate arrangements for operating 500 extra buses, in addition to the existing schedules for the travelling public between November 9 and 11, in view of Deepavali festival.

With Naraka Chathurdashi on November 10 and  Bali Padyami on November 12, the KSRTC has introduced these additional buses to cater to the additional rush.

Special buses will be exclusively operated from the Kempegowda Bus Station in Bengaluru, to Dharmastala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Gulbarga, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi, and other places.

Special buses from Mysore Road Satellite bus station will be exclusively operated towards Mysore, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, and Madikeri routes. All premier special buses will be operated from the Shanthinagar BMTC bus stand to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Special buses will be operated from Vijayanagar, JP Nagar, Jayanagar 4th Block and 9th Block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang (Rajajinagar), Malleswaram 18th Cross, and Kengeri Satellite Town to Shivamogga, Davangere, Tirupathi, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukke Subramanya, Dharmasthala and other places, based on the traffic potential.

Special buses for passengers who have advance reservation will be operated from the Mysore Road Satellite bus station, towards North-West (Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, etc), of Karnataka. Buses with no advance reservation will be operated from the Kempegowda bus station.

Special buses for passengers who have advance reservation will be operated from Sri Basaveshwara bus station (Peenya), towards North-East (Kalaburagi, Ballari, Raichur, Hosapete, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, etc), of Karnataka. Buses with no advance reservation will be operated from the Kempegowda bus station.

Facility to book computerised reservation tickets in advance for the special buses have been provided. Reserved passengers should note the place of boarding in their reservation ticket.
