Applications invited for Kittur Rani Chennamma Award

The Women and Child Development department has invited applications for Kittur Rani Chennamma Award for the year 2016-17. Individual women and institutions who have been rendering yeoman service for women empowerment are eligible to apply for the award.

According to a press release issued by the department, the applicants should be rendering service/operating within the jurisdiction of Bengaluru Urban district. Youth dept to conduct beautician course

The Youth Empowerment and Sports department will conduct a free beautician course for girls from December 14. The applicants should have passed/failed in SSLC examination and should be in 15-35 age group. The applicants from districts other than Bengaluru can also attend the course. Outstation candidates will be provided free accommodation during the period of training, according to a press release issued by the department.
