<p>Bengaluru: The Health Department will appoint 1,000 diploma pharmacy holders, who have passed out in the last two years, as pharmacists on contract basis for 11 months with fixed stipend. </p><p>In the order issued by the government, the department said, this is being done to reduce gap between education and employment. </p><p>At present, state has 3,000 posts of pharmacists and around 50% of them are vacant. The Finance department has given approval to appoint 400 pharmacists.</p>
