<p>Bengaluru: A <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bbmp">BBMP</a> garbage truck driver, who was beaten up after his vehicle was involved in an accident that killed an eight-year-old boy, has died, police officials said on Thursday.</p>.<p>Kondaiah (59) succumbed to his injuries at the hospital after failing to respond to treatment, the police said.</p>.<p>The crash occurred on March 29 around noon at Thanisandra Main Road, when the child, Ayman, was riding pillion on his father’s bike.</p>.<p>The speeding truck driven by Kondaiah crashed into them and ran over Ayman, who had fallen onto the road. He was killed instantly.</p>.<p>An angry mob of around 15 people grabbed hold of Kondaiah and beat him to a pulp. They set his truck on fire by dousing it with petrol, the police said. Kondaiah sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to the hospital. </p>.<p>Following the death, a case was registered by the Sampigehalli police, and four people have been arrested, the police said.</p>
